There should be seperate items for the digipak and jewelcase for Hullabaloo Soundtrack and DVD (so 4 in total) and also an extra one for the Absolution Tour DVD, as there are 2 versions, a red spine and a black spine (black the rarer of the two). hang on this is getting confusing. let me sum it up:

1) Hullabaloo Soundtrack (Digipak)
2) Hullabaloo Soundtrack (Jewelcase)
3) Hullabaloo DVD (Digipak)
4) Hullabaloo DVD ('Jewelcase')
5) Absolution Tour DVD (Red Spine)
6) Absolution Tour DVD (Black Spine)
7) Absolution CD (With Misprint)
 8) The Resistance Box Set (ie. non-numbered)
9) The Resistance Deluxe Box Set (ie. numbered AND with the 5.1 DVD)

What (if any) are the differences between the Red Spine and Black Spine version of Abso Tour DVD?

I believe (and i'm not 100% sure coz i only own the black one), but black one has floating discs on teh inside rather then people, and the disc is a different colour. In the discography however, there aren't scans of the inside of the red spine so don't take my word for it. I can provide scans of the black spine's inserts and disc if you guys so wish

I don't know if this was answered somewhere else already because it's an old thread, but I always thought it had to do with the packaging? I have a red spine Abso tour dvd in a classic dvd box, and a black spine Abso tour dvd in a jewel case box (with soft edges). They also have different duration times of the total dvd and the main programme on the back and the inside sleeves are little different.
Or is there also a dvd in a classic dvd box with a black spine?

Different duration times? That makes it a bit more complicated...
I think we should upload some scans on here, just so we can get an idea of all the different ones we own, coz at the moment i'm so confused!

I was in HMV today and I picked up a copy of HAARP. I bought mine online just after it was released, and I noticed very subtle differences in the two:

The sticker on the front of my copy is matte, whilst the copy in HMV was a lot smoother. Also, my copy's paper booklet seems rather low quality and the colours aren't very good, whilst the shop's version seemed to be made out of better paper and it was slightly lighter in colour. Overall, it just seemed like a nicer version. I might have to buy it sometime soon to compare editions.

Not sure if these counts as a different version but it's good enough for me to buy :)

It's because we don't have a 'The Resistance' section in our USA discography yet for some reason.

MUSE DETECTIVES PART 2

So today I bought the copy. I got home and compared the two. I'm not sure if anyone has noticed the differences before and pointed them out, so I shall do so:

To begin with, as I stated previously, the stickers have a different feel to them, but I also noticed they are a slightly different shape too.

You may notice on the first picture that the artwork's colours are subtly different in shade (the one on the left is duller), and that it says "2 discs" on the jewelcase, whilst the one I bought today (on the right) has not.

Next I turned my attention to the back. The version I bought today has the same back-design as the box set, unlike the original release.

Then I opened it up, and noticed straight away that they open two different ways; the version I bought today (on the top) opens right, whilst the original (on the bottom) opens to the left. In the picture, you will also notice that the new version has a white region mark on it "FSK ab 0 freigegeben".

And lastly, I flicked through the booklet and I noticed the colours on the newer version are much more vibrant, especially the gold. On the 2008 version, the gold is very faded, and almost invisible. Comparing the quality of the paper, the newer version uses thicker card, and the black is more defined, unlike the original version which is grainy and almost grey/brown.

So I conclude that sometime after the original release in 2008, it was re-released on better quality paper perhaps because the printing came out so poorly on the original. Perhaps... give me your two cents?

Lastly, I apologise for the bad pictures - it's gone midnight and I only just got home from town (very tired) :(

I am shamefully behind on releases at the moment, we totally need all the promos asap. I think its reasonable to add the HAARP as a new release, the thing that sealed it for me is that it has a different back cover, and that could cause confusion. Thanks for all your hard work bringing this to light.

Can someone with a few spare minutes do us a huge favour and list just the major stuff we are missing? I can just go through adding them one quiet evening and bring us up to the new album era.

Should Psycho and Dead Inside be on the list yet or do they need to be released on collectable formats first?
